SEABECK CHRISTIAN FAMILY CAMP PRESENTS OUR
2022 RESOURCE LEADER: Brett Strobel
Rev. Ric Shewell was set to be our resource leader. However, he is now moving to a new church and can no longer attend our camp. So taking his place is Rev. Brett Strobel. Brett is returning to lead us for the 3rd time, a history in the making.
THEME FOR 2022
How To Be A Great Lover
There is little doubt that Love is important to us. It is a virtue, a feeling, a drive, a choice, a calling, a gift. Without it, we most likely would not survive very long. With it, we grow, thrive and sometimes, even transcend.
It is the stuff of legend, song, poetry, music, dance, art, story and spirituality. The Christian Bible goes so far as to lift it up as the central nature of God’s being. Needless to say, it is worth learning more about this.
By tapping into 5 Greek terms for love, we will spend the week exploring their meanings (in their healthy and decayed forms), their significance in our relationships, and finally how to be better at it. Join us, and learn how to be a great lover.
Day 1) Agapē: Self-giving love; divine love.
Day 2) Eros: Sexual love
Day 3) Storgē: Affection; familial Love
Day 4) Philia: Comradery; companionship, friendship
Day 5) Philautia: Self-love; self-compassion
